Horner Cemetery

HORNER CEMETERY
This very old cemetery, still occasionally used today, is located on the old Horner farm, which is why it is so called, even though no Horners are buried here (at least, none in marked graves). It is northeast of Lexington near the Jefferson County line, in the northeast quarter of Section 26, T3N, R 8 E, on 160 acres of land which had been entered on June 16, 1818, by Thomas M. Reid. It is on a low hill above the now-abandoned, fine old Horner house, about 100 yards through the woods east of the road leading north off the county road.
