WILLIAM STOREN
William Storen, the son of Pat and Eliza Gray Storen, was born in 1890 in Lexington. He married Bessie Harrison of Scottsburg, making their home there after his marriage, and worked in the Scott County Bank.
In 1930 he was elected State Treasurer and served two full terms. He was also elected as a Democrat to the General Assembly of the State Legislature in 1926 and represented Scott and Jefferson Counties for two terms.
Storen was a member of the Scottish Rite of Indianapolis and a 50-year member of the Scottsburg Masonic Lodge. He and his wife had one daughter, Mrs. Myron F. Fauke of Indianapolis and two grandchildren.
Mr. Storen is buried in the Scottsburg Cemetery, having died on December 13, 1971.
