Alma Ruth Helm, 89, died Friday at Jefferson Manor.

She was the former Alma Craigmyle, a native of Shelby County, a retired nurse's aide for Kosair Children's Hospital and a member of the Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors: a son, Edward R. Helm; sisters Mary Craigmyle and Mable Barnett; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great- great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Monday, Arch L. Heady Southern, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Shelby County. Visitation: after 2 p.m. Sunday.
