#2. I descend from Noah Cutshaw of Bedford (Trimble County), Kentucky. Noah's parents were Samuel and Rachel (Gordon) Cutshall of Scott and Jefferson Counties in Indiana. I have just received some information that leads me to believe that Samuel may be the son of George Cutshall who was reportedly born in Pennsylvania in 1779. George spent time in Ohio during the early 1800's then settled in Scott County, Indiana around 1850. mwiley@alaska.net Michele Wiley

#4. My grandfather was in the CCC's and lived and worked at a place called Camp Englishton, Lexington, Indiana which you have a brief link to a bit of information about. I was fascinated to read what you had. I have been in the process of trying to gain more information about Camp Englishton such as what specific types of work they did in the area and if any local organization happens to possess records of the camp and the men that lived there. I would also like to get in touch with any men who might have served alongside my grandfather. I was bewildered to read that a man who signed my grandpa's memory book is even mentioned in the bit about the CCC's and I would be extremely interested in contacting him.
Do you happen to know any of the men, Ed Russell specifically, who were in the CCC's? Do you know where I could find out more information about the CCC's? Do you know if the CCC buildings, barracks, etc are still standing?
Any information that you could provide would be very helpful. Naribl@aol.com Nathan Blunt
5. My name is Lois Taylor. Samuel and Mary Ann (Caughman) Bridgewater were my 6th Great Grandparents. Their Daughter Mary (Polly) married my 5th Great Grandfather William Morgan. In the history of the Bridgewater Cemetery reference was made to a Bridgewater Family History owned by Mae Bridgewater Walker. Is there any way possible that I could get in contact with her and find out where I could obtain a copy of our history? Any help you could provide would be very much appreciated. I am working on our family history and need all information. ltaylor@orednet.org Lois Taylor

7. I am looking for info on the Kimberlin family from Jefferson Co IN and some lived in Scott Co also. The Kimberlin I am looking for now is from Jefferson Co. Her name is Alice Caroline and she was born Sept. 26 1886 and she married a Horner and a Boles ( I think) I am trying to see if anybody knows of her so I can find out the Boles that she married. Her parents are William Fanklin Kimberlin and Cynthia Mariah Prudence Stonehouse. One of their other daughters married James Bruce and he is my great grand uncle so if anybody knows of that family I would love to hear from you. hargus@flash.net Theresa Hargus
8. My mother came from Lexington. Her father was Guy Campbell and her grandfather was Francis M. "Frank" Campbell who owned the general store on the southeast corner of the square. Both are mentioned in the articles at your site.I am interested in trying to locate the home where my mother grew up (if it still exists). Do you know of any directories from 1910 or 1920 that might give the location of the home of Guy Campbell? fskirkham@widomaker.com Steve Kirkham
9. My paternal great-great grandfather's farm was close to Lexington, his name was William W. Arbuckle, and his wife was Lucinda Barnes-Blackford. They are buried in New Bethel cemetery in Chelsea, along with their son, James William, and his wife, Ella. William's mother, Susannah, is also there. I am very interested in our family history, and would love to know if I could locate William's farm. His son James once had a farm on the site of the power plant in Madison. stephanog13@aol.com Cyndi Arbuckle-Griggs
10. My great great grandfather, Leander Samuel Jones, was born in Scott co in 1852 the youngest I think of William and Charlotte Jones's kids. My dad saw him alive in 1934 in Cordell, Oklahoma, in the house of his daughter Lottie Fisher. They have no death record for him in Cordell. His son, my great grandfather, Amos Jones, died here in Spokane in 1957 when I was ten so there is no one left here alive who can tell me. I don't even know the last name of his mother because 1852 is too early for a birth certificate and there is no record of their marraige in Indiana. I am not even sure the William Jones of 1820 is Leander's grandfather. Two of William Jones children, Sara and Levi married into the Richeys and Collings, my greatgreat grandfather Leander married Sichey P. Comer, Isaac Comer and Martha Patsy Richey's daughter. His son Amos married Ida Jane Morgan of Wash. co. who was the daughter of Polly Ann Richey and Aaron Morgan, a civil war vet and the grandson of Isaac Morgan, another early pioneer. ceffyl@uswest.net Judith Jones

13. Looking for information on George A. Ramsey, born Nov. 19, 1850 died Nov. 30, 1878. Was buried in Lexington Cemetery. He was married to Martha Pattison and had one child with her, Georgiene. Although her birth date doesn't make sense unless he died while she was pregnant with her, she was born in 1879. Would like to know anything on this family. Georgiene(Goergia) married Howard Stark. He was born in Nabb, Indiana. Any help would be appreciated, I cannot find anything. mindita@earthlink.net Melinda
14. My ancestor, Honora Murphy, lived in Henryville or Louisville. However, a Honora Murphy was mentioned in the article on the Lexington Catholic Church as being a member. I know Honora was very active in the church so maybe she was involved in the Lexington church which isn't too far from Henryville. Any further information on Honora Murphy would be helpful. Honora (Sullivan) Murphy born in Cork County, Ireland, about 1827. Married Pierce (Perry) Murphy in Louisville, Kentucky. Children were Martin James, Catherine Elizabeth, John James, Maria Elizabeth, Perry Edward, Thomas Martin, Anna M. and Joseph Francis. jcmoen1@charter.net Josie Moen
15. I was born in Lawrence County, and am a descendant of Roland Weldon Watterson, son of John Watterson and Amanda Spurgeon. I have been trying to track down records for John and Amanda for some time and have come sort of full circle. It was only recently that I discovered Margaret Watterson, wife to Francis Hall. I am trying to link her somehow to John, because surely they must be related. I haven't been able to locate Amanda's grave, and no one is quite certain what happened to John pertaining to burial. watterdawg@hotmail.com Justin Watterson
16. I am seeking information on William & Elizabeth Bennett's family. They seem to have moved to Scott county from Kentucky in about 1833. On the 1850 census, they are listed with three sons: Jeremiah G, Oliver P., and Charles. However, there was apparently one older daughter and two older sons with them when they left KY. I believe those two sons were John J. (J. J.) Bennett b. 1825 Kentucky, and Andrew Wilson (A. W.) Bennett b abt 1827 Kentucky. J. J., A. W., and O. P. (Oliver Perry) settled in Jefferson, Wayne, and Richland counties Illinois respectively in the 1860s. J. J. is my gggrandfather. After Elizabeth died in 1857, William lived with O. P. and his wife Hannah Close. In 1870 William seems to have been living with his oldest son John J. and his wife. John J. apparently married Bethena Ann Montgomery in Jefferson county Indiana ("1854 Apr 6 Bennett, John Montgomery, Bethena Ann" from myindianahome website). I would like to contact anyone with information on William & Elizabeth between 1833 or so and 1860 in Lexington township. jbennet9@tampabay.rr.com John Bennett
17. I am researching some of my husband's ancestors in the lexington area. If anyone has any information about Beavers, Wardell, Field, Ulmer, Whitsun, Arbuckle and the New Jersey Montgomeries, will you please contact cathyfield@bellsouth.net.
18. I'm trying to see if anyone might have any information that could possibly help me to verify that Martin L. Hart was my gg-grandfather. During his second marriage, he had a son Isaac, born April, 1879. Isaac was my g-grandfather. My father had told me that Isaac had told him he was born in Scott Co. When I had tried to get a copy of Isaac's birth record at the Scott Co. Health Department, their records only went back as far as 1882. When I went to the Scott Co. Library and was able to obtain a copy of Martin's obit, it did not list survivors. At present, I have no family bibles or other family information to verify that the Martin L. Hart, of Lexington, Scott Co., IN was indeed the father of my g-grandfather, Isaac. Would appreciate any information that anyone might have that can help me. I have visited Martin's grave and I pray that my missing link will be closed. ltcolmrs@ameritech.net Cathy Conrad
