Wallace R. Hollenback Taken by Death

Funeral services were held for Wallace R. Hollenback of R. 1, Sunfield, in the Mapes Funeral home Monday afternoon at two o’clock. Mr. Hollenback passed away Friday, June 24, in the Ionia County Memorial hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks. He was 85 years of age.

Wallace Rush Hollenback was born October 22, 1874 in Sebewa township, Ionia county, the son of George and Rose David. He spent his early life in Sebewa township. At the age of 28 he went to Detroit where he lived for 35 years, then he returned to Sebewa to spend the rest of his life. He was a carpenter.

Surviving is a nephew, Wallace Hollenback of Sebewa. The deceased was a bachelor.

The Rev. Jerry Hippensteel officiated at the funeral rites. Interment was made in Sebewa cemetery.

Bearers were Ray Thuma, Clifton Thrams, Laurea Rolls, …..a Bailey, Carl Risehow, and Don Ber…hooter.
