Louis H. Hollenbeck

Louis H, Hollenbeck, 86, Bonner Springs, Kansas, passed away Monday, October 14, 1996 at Royal Terrace Nursing and Rehab Center, Olathe, Kansas. Funeral services will be at 11 a. m. Thursday, October 17, at the Alden-Harrington Chapel, Bonner Springs; burial in Bonner Springs Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p. m. Wednesday October 16, at the Alden-Harrington Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.

Mr. Hollenbeck was born January 11, 1910, in Klen Rock, WY. He was a member of McGraw-Thompson-Olson V.F.W. Post #6401 of Bonner Springs; the Northeast Kansas Beekeepers Association; and Unit 90 Retirement Club. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 233rd Engineers Battalion. He was as trackman for the Union Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1974. He is survived by his wife, Edna Mae hollenbeck, of the home; one son, Larry Hollenbeck, Basehor, KS.; one daughter, JoAnn Hollenbeck, of the home; one brother, William Hollenbeck, California; four sisters, Margaret Linden, Bonner Springs, KS, Lilly Mae Bradshaw, Kansas City, KS; Mary Alice Owens, Edwardsville, KS, and Dorothy Winnigar, Kansas City, KS; and one granddaughter, Melissa Blankenship, Lenexa, KS.

EDNA M. HOLLENBECK

Edna Mae Hollenbeck, 79, Bonner Springs, KS, passed away Friday, March 31, 2000, at the Presbyterian Manor in Kansas City, KS. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 3, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs, KS; burial in Bonner Springs Cemetery. Friends may call 3-5 p.m. Sunday, April 2, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospital in c/o the funeral home.

Mrs. Hollenbeck was born January 13, 1921, in Bonner Springs, KS. She had worked as a cook at the Bonner Springs High School for 11 years, retiring in 1976. She had been active in the Railroad Club - "Club 90", the N.E. Kansas Bee Keepers association, and the Bonner Springs V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Hollenbeck in 1996. Survivors include one son, Larry Hollenbeck, Basehor, KS; one daughter, Joann Hollenbeck, Bonner Springs, KS; one sister, Mary Brown, Wichita, KS; and one granddaughter, Melissa Blankenship, Olathe, KS.

Robert E. Hollenbeck

Robert E. Hollenbeck, 62, 4023 W. 62nd Terrace, Fairway, died April 17, 1987, at Bethany Medical Center. He was born in Fort Smith, Ark., and lived in this area most of his life. He worked 37 years for the Proctor & Gamble Co., where he was a fire inspector before he retired in 1984. He was an Army veteran of World War II and received the Purple Heart. Survivors include his wife, Peggy L. Hollenbeck of the home; three sons, Terry Hollenbeck, Wichita, Bruce Hollenbeck, Olathe, and Ronnie Hollenbeck, North Kansas City; a stepson, Tom Woods, Kansas City, Kan.; three daughters, Gail Kindred, Sharon Reiss and Barbara Hollenbeck of Bonner Springs; two stepdaughters, Tirna Woods and Rhonda Woods of Kansas City, Kan.; two brothers William Hollenbeck, Hemet, Calif., and Louis Hollenbeck, Bonner Springs; four sisters, Lily Bradshaw and Mary Owens of Edwardsville, Margaret Linden, Bonner Springs, and Dorothy Renegar, Kansas City, Kan.; and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a. m. Tuesday at the Maple Hill Chapel; burial in the Edwardsville Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p. m. Monday at the chapel.
