Hollenbeck Family History Project

Hollenbeck
Update of March 2001: Ray reports that he is still working on the book which is now over 600 pages in length and still evolving. However, he is almost finished with a book containing more than 360 Hollenbecks, Hallenbecks, etc. who served in the American Civil War. The book is expected to be more than 100 pages in length. It contains the name, rank, enlistment and discharge dates, the company and regiment in which they served, and a history of the regiment. With some individuals it will include the place of enlistment (or residence at the time of their enlistment), occupation before the war, rank at discharge, and place of discharge. Excerpts from that book can be found at Service in the American Civil War 1861-1865.
This book will be published in soft cover, 8 1/2 x 11, spiral bound and will probably cost between $25 and $30 per book.
